For all those who smoke or do not smoke, we want you to ponder upon the fact that what happens to the butts left behind after smoking!
Smoking a cigarette, ensuring that the butt is fully extinguished, and proceeding to throw it in the dustbin or on the streets. Ever thought about what happens after that?
Most of us don’t realise that a cigarette butt is made of cellulose acetate, a plastic filter that is not biodegradable and can harm the environment for years once discarded.
Our next campaign is about picking up the cigarette butts from the streets of Delhi and providing the collected butts to the recycling companies.
Join us to volunteer and make our surroundings clean.
